While the place itself is its own spotlight, the location may also steal the show.
Little Italy is one of San Diego’s most popular spots to visit or live. Its proximity to the water, parks, downtown, restaurants and all “the happenings,” makes living here a dream (both in nature and in price LOL). The general vibe is a young hip community of affluent, social, and active professionals seeking a comfortable and exclusive lifestyle. Its walkable nature - to parks, farmer's market, harbor, museums, bars, and restaurants - not only allows for a desirable and healthy lifestyle, but it truly makes this one of the best urban communities in San Diego.
Picture a morning job amongst your fellow neighbors walking to the bay with your freshly brewed latter, taking in the ocean view, or a friday night date at your favorite italian restaurant only steps away, or simply a glass of wine on your balcony while taking in the famous california sunsets… it’s all here. If this place is available, and it's in your budget, you should not think twice.
I stayed at Jenna's for a month with my husband, our 1 yr old and our ESA dog and loved every bit of it. There is so much natural light, beautiful furniture, and pretty plants surrounding the place that your mind feels as ease. I work from home, so sitting with these gorgeously tall ceilings and nice decor, my brain felt even more productive. The house is fully equip with towels, linens, kitchen ware, all the things. And now to discuss the location. While I've stayed in downtown San Diego before, staying in the middle of Little Italy is quite the treasure. Walk the dog and stop for an ice cream at Salt & Straw, take a call on the run and grab happy hour at Queenstown, or our favorite pizza place just across the street. And we worried about parking for our second car, since only one spot was included, but it was o biggy at all. I'd only say our hiccup was the half bedroom for our baby. Since he still naps during the day time, the loft space (open), was a little challenging to get little Nico to sleep, but once we maneuvered some curtains voila! So if you aren't traveling with a baby who needs silence and darkness during the day, this spot is your jam.
