About the Area

Barrio Logan is an up and coming neighborhood known for its Latinx history. At the heart of the community lies Chicano Park, housing one of (if not the largest) the largest collections of chicano murals in the world. Its rich hispanic culture gives way to some cool shops, markets, restaurants, and breweries. Restaurants can be found mostly along Logan, with my personal favorites: Salud (tacos), Border X (brewery), Storymakers (coffee), and Cuatro Milpas (tacos).

Barrio Logan is located in the southwest portion of downtown, and still central to most San Diego’s landmarks and attractions.. The trolley and grocery store is just a couple blocks away. The convention center less than a mile north (one trolley stop). And we are directly across the other side of the renowned Coronado Bridge and Coronado Island - a beautiful town worth exploring!

Gigi's place was beautiful, well located and had everything I needed. my friend had stayed at another of her listings and recommeded to book here. The decorations and items in the apartment were thoughtful and complete; my kids even had stuff to my play with, utensils, a bouncy chair, toys and more! the location is great, close to everything (the beach, zoo, downtown, little Italy, and ever walkable to the groceries and breweries and restaurants in barrio logan). Parking was easy enough w the permit although I realized the trolley was another option I could've easily taken. the complex felt very safe, I liked that I had my own patio and qasher and dryer closet, but also had a large brand new balcony w a view of the coronado bridge. there is a ac unit, but the windows provided a really nice breeze so we used that more. Gigi was a spectacular host, I loved her her welcome packet with many great suggestions, plus she went out of her way to provide extra tips while staying there.

Nice place, everything worked well in the home. Location is close to all major tourist attractions, Gigi has recommendations for several worthy locations. Parking at night can be challenging, and the entrance area is quite narrow, due to gas meters installed in an inconvenient area, these were my only issues. Overall a good amount of space for this area.

Gigi was an outstanding host! For my first time using AirBNB, I found the experience to be largely positive, and would use it again. Gigi set the bar high!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Gigi's place. It was minutes away from San Diego Convention Center- less than 5 minutes drive. Gigi made sure to answer all questions and/or concerns prior to our arrival. Her response time was always quick. She made us feel very welcome by making sure that we had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Her place, Bright and Lovely was very clean. Parking was on the street which we didn't have problem finding a spot to park. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Gigi for being such a great host

Very lovely updated kitchen and bathroom. My kids appreciated the assortment of toys, from the alphabet magnets to Guess Who game, and books, which were easy to clean and return to the bins in the closet. The home is on the second floor, and beds were very soft. The location was very convenient for all of our destinations. We had a lovely stay in San Diego!

Gigi was great and everything about our stay was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the place was exceptionally clean, just recommend replacing the couch. The property is located in Barrio Logan area and I felt right at home with the local Hispanic heritage and cultural art displays. My buddy and I felt safe walking around to the local market stores, restaurants, and cafes. So many options within short walking distances. Maggie's Cafe (my favorite), Las Cuatro Milpas, and Tiny Giant Taproom are literally a 3 minute walk from the from door. There are also a few other seafood and Asian restaurants in the area too. Overall I highly recommend this property.

Gigi was a wonderful host. She was very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood looks a little rough, but it was actually great. We walked to the nearby grocery store and restaurants multiple times and people were friendly. The art under the bridge to Coronado is really cool too. And the Airbnb itself is safe, with a locked gate and a deadbolt, we never had any worries. Gigi provided a pack n play with a comfy mattress that worked really well! We brought our own blackout tent to put over it and our baby slept great! The only inconvenience was the A/C unit is by the entrance/kitchen, so the bedrooms basically have no A/C. Being by the ocean, it cooled off at night plus the ceiling fan helped, but I think some people would be uncomfortable during the summer probably. Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend staying at Gigi's place!
